Aims and Objectives of the Australian Resuscitation Council
Since 1976 the Australian Resuscitation Council has fostered and promoted consistent resuscitation guidance and training.
The Australian Resuscitation Council is a registered not for profit, co-ordinating body which represents all major groups involved in the teaching and practice of resuscitation.
The Council supports better resuscitation outcomes by promoting clear, consistent and evidence-informed practice. It develops and publishes the ANZCOR Guidelines in consultation and collaboration with member organisations and the New Zealand Resuscitation Council, drawing on current scientific evidence, published research and expert input. These guidelines provide a trusted national framework for education and practice while recognising that clinical judgement and local circumstances remain important in resuscitation care.
